GIZ - E4D Tanzania (SME Development Project - Bid Management and Health Safety and Environment Standards Upgrade) 2021 - 2023

The consortium of E360 Group Limited, Federation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Uganda (FSME) and ITM Tanzania Limited is implementing the“Upgrading Bid Management and HSE Practices in Selected Tanzanian Enterprises” project on behalf of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under E4D (Employment and Skills for Development in Africa).

The main objective of the Project is to continue building the capacity of local companies to enable them win international contracts and thereby increase local employment opportunities and national participation. The project covered  the understanding of bidding and Proposal process/requirements, Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Standards and forming partnerships.

Due to the increasing advancements in technology, the project is designed to include ICT related and innovative activities tailored to support the beneficiary companies embrace more online growth opportunities. The target sectors include manufacturing, construction, transport / logistics, hospitality / Tourism, engineering, and green jobs (renewable, eco agriculture, eco-tourism etc).

 338 companies were selected to participate in the training phase, only 316 companies progressed to coaching and mentoring phase. The delegates were selected from the location preferences of Dodoma, Geita, Tanga and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

The participants expressed their gratitude for being selected to take part in the opportunity – bid management training and HSE standard upgrade in Tanzania.

Certificates of training and project completion were given to the eligible  delegates and companies.
