Design and Implementation of the Community Supplier Development Program (CSDP) sponsored by TotalEnergies EP Uganda (May, 2022 - July, 2023)

Following the Tilenga Project Environmental Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), one of the social management plans developed by the project was the Community Content Economic Development Plan (CCEDP). The CCEDP is the framework for how community content and economic activities shall be implemented, monitored, and evaluated. It is through this background that TotalEnergies EP Uganda established the Community Supplier Development Program (CSDP).

 We are privileged to have won the award contract to pilot this program in the Tilenga region.

The program aimed at contributing to the community and national economic development through strengthening and developing the capacities and capabilities of community suppliers to facilitate their sustainable engagement in the PROJECT opportunities.

The Community Supplier Development Program was designed to implement activities that included; Supplier Quarterly Engagements, Capacity Building (BDS services training), Networking Symposium, Partnership Building, District Engagement, and Community Supplier Baseline Assessment in the Tilenga Albertine districts that include; Hoima, Buliisa, Kikuube, Masindi, Pakwach and Nwoya districts.

The Community Supplier Development Program was designed to implement activities that included; Supplier Quarterly Engagements, Capacity Building (BDS services training), Networking Symposium, Partnership Building, District Engagement, and Community Supplier Baseline Assessment in the Tilenga Albertine districts that include; Hoima, Buliisa, Kikuube, Masindi, Pakwach and Nwoya districts.

E360 Group Ltd is grateful for the opportunity given to us to implement this program to support the community suppliers in understanding the opportunities in the oil and gas industry in Uganda.

We believe the program impacted the community suppliers to acquire / prepare themselves for the opportunities in the industry.
